Making Reading a Part of Children’s Lives |
|
The Rochelle Lee Fund (RLF) believes that every child deserves the opportunity to become a successful reader. To develop readers, the non-profit RLF fosters a supportive network of urban educators, builds teacher capacity through high-caliber professional development programs and creates literacy-rich classrooms by providing new children’s books. RLF focuses on supporting teachers and students in the Chicago public schools. A reader is someone who has not only mastered the fundamental mechanics of reading, but who also reads for both meaning and pleasure. We believe that students who love to read will read more often and become better readers. RLF is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit education organization. RLF is not a private foundation or a re-granting organization. |
